Adding New Features¶
When adding a new feature:
- Add the feature to
features/features.yml - Use the next sequential ID (ZER0-XXX) — never reuse retired IDs
- Include all required fields (id, title, description, implemented, version, tags, date, link, docs)
- Add file references under
references: - Link to documentation if available
- Copy to
_data/features.yml(the two files must stay byte-identical) - Update the features page if needed
See .github/instructions/features.instructions.md for the full schema and sync contract.
Validation¶
Validate YAML syntax:
python3 -c "import yaml; yaml.safe_load(open('features/features.yml'))"
diff -q features/features.yml _data/features.yml # must report no difference
Feature Count¶
Current count: 87 features (as of 2026-09-07, gem v1.29.0)
